    The MidContinental Chapter of the Medical Library Association provides grant support for research projects in order to promote and stimulate excellence in the field of health science librarianship and the information sciences. Grants may be used to support all or part of thecosts of a study, up to a maximum of $1000. MCMLA may award more than one grant in a year for a maximum of $1000 in any one year. If the funds are not allocated in the fall, other research-based options may be considered at the discretion of the Research Committee.     Submit your application by e-mailing your proposal to the Chair of the Research Committee.

    Share your research and innovative practices at out 2020 Virtual Chapter Meeting! Now it is a joint meeting with the MidWest Chapter so it  is the 2020 MCMLA/MWMLA Virtual Meeting!

    The registration cost will be 25$ per person (CE's are free and each chapter has scholarship opportunities for students)

    The Program and Research Committees invite paper, lightning talk, and poster proposal submissions on health sciences librarianship and related topics for the 2020 Midcontinental (MCMLA) / MidWest (MWMLA)Virtual Chapter Meeting. The meeting will take place October 15th and 16th.

    The theme of this year's virtual meeting is: Becoming a Health Literacy Superhero

    The meeting is open to members and non-members of MCMLA or MWMLA and all are welcome to submit paper, lightning talk, or poster abstracts for consideration.

    Deadline for submissions is now July 31st 2020.

    Notifications of acceptance will be made by August 15th, 2020.

    The MCMLA Annual Meetings are open to members and non-members of MCMLA and all are welcome to submit paper and lightning talk abstracts for consideration.

    Deadline for submissions is July 10, 2020.

    Notifications of acceptance will be made by August 7, 2020.

    The deadline for submissions for the August issue of the Express is Monday, August 5th, 2019.  YOU are what makes the Express great, so please consider sending something in to share with your MCMLA colleagues. Please send in a blurb about your work! And don't forget to let me know about any papers, posters, presentations, awards, or any other recognition you or a fellow member have received, so we can recognize your efforts.
